Saucespoons

Shop for wood spoons made from Hickory wood.  When it seemed there couldn't possibly be any wooden spoon design that hasn't already been done, it came to us. If we put an angled opening in the bowl of a stirring spoon, would there be less resistance stirring; and therefore less spattering? Judge for yourself.

Take care of your spoons like your wood cutting boards:

  1. Wash with mild soap and water when needed.
  2. Dry immediately.
  3. Rub with a good cutting board wax or oil, such as food safe mineral oil to rejuvenate the wood and maintain cell structure.  (Don’t use cooking, furniture, lemon, orange oils; or Murphy’s Oil Soap because they may become rancid or tacky.)
  4. Never soak your board in water, put in the dishwasher or microwave.
  5. If you get a little fuzz on the wood with the first cleaning, a light sanding eliminates it.

With minimal care, you will preserve the appearance and have many years of service and satisfaction.
